iPad on iPad on Mac Privacy Policy – Measure & Quote Flooring

1) Who We Are

E.K.I. Tools, LLC ("we," "us," "our") provides the Measure & Quote Flooring application for iPad on Mac (the "App").

2) Scope

This policy applies to the iPad on Mac version of the App (the iOS app running on Apple Silicon Mac computers). Features and permissions may differ on other Apple platforms (iOS, iPadOS, tvOS).

3) No Account System / No E.K.I. Tools Server

The App does not require you to create an account. E.K.I. Tools, LLC does not operate a backend server for storing your projects/rooms. Most data is stored locally on your device and/or synced via Apple services you choose to enable.

4) App Privacy "at a Glance"

Note: Apple (and third parties you choose for sharing) may process certain information independently under their own policies.

5) Information the App May Collect or Process

5.1 User-Provided "Contact Info" (Project/Customer Fields)

You may enter customer/project details such as name, address, phone number, and email. This information is used to manage your projects and may be included in exports (such as PDFs) that you choose to share.

5.2 User Content

You may create or store project/room data such as measurements, drawings/sketches, calculations, materials, costs, and notes.

5.3 Location Information (Optional)

If you choose to use features that attach a location to a saved room or project, the App may request location permission. If granted, the App may store approximate coordinates (latitude/longitude) with that item.

The App may use Apple geocoding services to display location-friendly labels (such as "City, State") or to resolve an address to coordinates.

5.4 Purchases (Subscriptions)

The App may offer subscriptions (e.g., Beginner and Professional). Purchases are processed by Apple via StoreKit. E.K.I. Tools, LLC does not receive your full payment card number or billing details.

5.5 Links and Network Requests You Initiate

The App may open external links you choose (e.g., retailer search pages, Apple Maps directions) or load images from URLs that you enter. When you visit third‑party sites, their privacy practices apply.

6) How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide core App functionality (projects, rooms, measurements, materials, calculations, exports, and workflow tools).
• Enable optional features you choose (location labeling, iCloud sync).
• Enable subscription-based features by verifying entitlements through Apple (StoreKit).
• Provide support and respond to inquiries you send to our support or controller email addresses.

7) Where Data Is Stored

7.1 On-Device Storage

The App stores most information locally on your Mac.

7.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your App data may be stored and synced using Apple iCloud services.

8) Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may share/disclose information only in limited situations:

• Apple (e.g., StoreKit for purchases; iCloud if enabled by you; Apple Maps/Geocoding when those features are used).
• Third-party apps/services you choose when you export/share content (their privacy policies apply).
• Legal if required to comply with law or respond to lawful requests.

9) Data Retention

Because the App is primarily on-device and/or iCloud-based, retention is generally controlled by your device storage, your iCloud settings, and the in-app delete/archive actions you take.

10) Security

We take reasonable steps to help protect information. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

11) Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" above when changes are posted.
